Scripture describes it as the most public, unmistakable event in human history — the opposite of a secret or private appearing. “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him” (Revelation 1:7). Jesus compared it to lightning that “shineth even unto the west” (Matthew 24:27), visible everywhere at once, specifically to warn against being deceived by anyone claiming He has secretly returned “in the desert” or “in the secret chambers” (Matthew 24:26). Paul adds that “the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) — accompanied by sound, not silence. There is no biblical support for a quiet, invisible, or purely spiritual coming; every description in Scripture is loud, visible, and global.
